Dr. Ajith Antony, MBBS, MD, is a bestselling author and a forensic resident doctor. He was born in Thrissur, a city in the south Indian state of Kerala. He graduated from The Tamil Nadu Dr. MGR Medical University with a Bachelor’s in Medicine and Surgery. Dr. Ajith went on to pursue his Masters in Forensic Medicine and Toxicology at Goa Medical College, where he graduated with a university gold medal.

Enough with the education. Who cares about it anyway?

As a child, Ajith grew up with tales of all sorts and loved the idea of storytelling. Nevertheless, he wrote his first novel after being inspired by Rowling’s Harry Potter. He completed his first manuscript in high school, a piece of garbage that will never see the light of day.

However, like all art forms, writing requires practice, and he never quit. His publishing journey began with Amazon’s Pen to Publish Contest, a fantasy novel under the pseudonym A.J. Antony. It hit the bestseller lists. He then went on to write the pulpy Indian crime thriller Police Surgeon, which was a raging success and a multiple-time bestseller.
